I've been on such an arty kick lately! I can't tell yet if it's an interest that will stick (I have this really awful habit of deciding, "THIS is going to be my thing" and then promptly losing interest, so I don't want to jinx myself by declaring any devotion to painting or drawing or just general "art"), but right now, I'm really enjoying coming home from work and playing with my art supplies. Here are a few more paintings I made this week:
1. Simple dot pattern is a good way to play with color combos.
2. Big, bold flowers make me smile.
3. I really love how this balloon turned out and kind of want to do an entire rainbow balloon series (spoiler alert?).
As a side note, I need to figure out the best way to iron painted paper. You can tell in that last picture especially how the paper is kind of warped from the moisture in the paint (where there's that big shadow straight across the middle of the page). Any tips?
